A Refresher

Per the introduction in our previous experiment, we need a manipulator (“👉 the finger”) that can manipulate a product from a gravity-fed shelf and into picking bin.

We’ve previously experimented with using a mutilated pinion, which drives alternately the top and bottom rack.

Introduction

Today Nick was excited to show me a Thomas the Tank Engine toy he “borrowed” from his son.

👨‍🔧 Nick: Do you see what I see on the wheels of Thomas?

👨‍💻 Marcus: Not seeing it yet…

Aim

The aim of this experiment is to develop a finger that can move in an elliptical motion.
